Peseiro confident of Eagles victory against Algeria

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro believes his charges can end their winless run against Algeria when the two sides lock horns later today September 27.

Nigeria has failed to beat Algeria in their last three meetings, but the Portuguese gaffer insists his side will put up a good fight that will guarantee them a win in tonight's encounter.

The Desert Foxes have won all of their last three matches since losing to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the World Cup playoffs in March.

Despite missing a chunk of his squad to injury, Peseiro believes his Super Eagles team can stop Algeria in their track.

“The players are giving maximum on and off the pitch, and we’ll play against a very good and strong team, so we’ll fight to beat them,” the former Sporting Lisbon manager said.

Algeria will host the Super Eagles at the Oran Olympic Stadium in Belgaïd on Tuesday, September 27 (today).

Kick-off is at 8:00 pm.
