D’Tigers and D’Tigress coaches Mike Brown and Otis Hughley have released their final 12-man rosters for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Both lists were contained in a series of tweets by the Nigeria Basketball Federation on Monday.

“All is now set for the 2020 Olympic Games as the D’Tigers and D’Tigress coaches have released their final 12-man roster,” NBBF tweeted on Monday.

The men’s list has eight players from the NBA and one each from Israel, Spain, Russia and Italy.

In D’Tigers Olympics squad are Minnesota Timberwolves Josh Okogie and Miami Heat trio Precious Achiuwa, Gabe Vincent and KZ Okpala.

Others are Milwaukee Bucks’ Jordan Nwora, Detroit Pistons’ Jahil Okafor, Sacramento Kings’ Chimezie Metu and Utah Jazz’s Miye Oni.

Caleb Agada (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel), Obi Emegano (Fuenlbrada, Spain), Ekpe Udoh (Virtus Bologna, Italy) and Ike Nwamu (Samara, Russia) are also in the squad.

Michael Gbinije (Nevėžis Kėdainiai), Stan Okoye (Herbalife Gran Canaria), Ike Ireogbu (Élan Chalon) and Chima Moneke however failed to make the final cut.

There were no surprises in the D’Tigress squad as Adaora Elonu and Ezinne Kalu headlined the squad.

Others are Aisha Balarabe, Elizabeth Balogun, Promise Amukamara, Atonye Nyingifa, Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpannah and Ify Ibekwe.

Oderah Chidom, Victoria Macaulay, Erica Ogwumike and Amy Okonkwo complete the Olympics squad.

D’Tigers will start their Olympic campaign against Australia at the Saitama Arena in Tokyo on July 25. Other teams in their group are Germany and Italy.

D’Tigress, who are grouped with the USA, Japan and France, face-off against the Americans on July 27 in their Olympics opener.

Meanwhile both teams are billed to depart their United States base for Tokyo ahead of the Olympics on Tuesday (today) and Wednesday respectively.

D’Tigress depart Las Vegas for Tokyo, while D’Tigers, who have their training camp in Oakland, depart on Wednesday.

“The teams are in two different camps in the US so they won’t be leaving together. The girls will leave on Tuesday (today) while the guys will leave on Wednesday,” former Nigeria Basketball Federation Vice President Babs Ogunade told The PUNCH.
