Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem insists the team is battle ready for Tuesday’s (today) international friendly against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, reports Completesports.com.

The three-time African champions will confront Antonio Conceicao’s side in a second friendly at the Stadion Weiner Neustadt, Vienna.

The Indomitable Lions won the first game 1-0 last Friday courtesy Zambo Anguissa’s 37th minute strike.

“It’s been wonderful atmosphere so far, everyone is happy together and we’re ready for the second game against Cameroon, everyone is prepared, everyone is working hard to ensure that we get the victory in the second game.” Awaziem told the NFF media.

“It was a good test for us because we have a bigger task so the game was a big test for us but the problem if we lost the game which everybody is not happy about. We know we had a good game because everybody gave their best to ensure that we get a victory or a draw but at the end we lost.

” It was a good game because we could see the ability of everyone and know how to prepare for the World Cup.” This was his reaction when asked about his feelings after the lost against Cameroon on Friday.

The Boavista of Portugal defender also spoke about his personal preparation for the game.

“Definitely I’m well prepared. I’m hoping to have a good game, as well help the team get the victory. We also want to win the game because it will help our confidence, it will help the team and it will help the coach as well to build his team.” Awaziem added.

“All the players are well prepared for the game.”
