Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi has named his Ultimate African XI leaving out Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu.
The Nigerian international chose former Cameroonian international Lauren Etame-Mayer who featured for the Gunners between 2000 and 2007 scoring 7 goals in 159 appearances.
Nwankwo Kanu had a remarkable career with Arsenal having played at Highbury Stadium between 1999 and 2004, scoring 30 goals in 114 Premier League appearances.
In his Ultimate African XI as cited on YouTube channel Project 17, Iwobi chose Nigerian legend Vincent Enyeama to be in the goalkeeping position.
In the left-back position is former Chelsea defender Celestine Babayaro, while Iwobi named Joseph Yobo and Kalidou Koulibaly to partner in the centre-back.
Of course, his uncle and former African midfield maestro Jay Jay Okocha is also mentioned in the list.

Richarlison scored the only goal of the game when he tucked home as early as the 9th minute in a mouth-watering fixture at the Goodison Park.
Nigeria’s Iwobi was introduced in the 87th minute of the encounter and despite playing a few minutes, he stole the stats.
The former Arsenal star completed more take-ons than any other Everton player in the game. He completed 11 incredible touches, with two key passes.
