Osimhen to remain in hospital after sustaining head injury

Napoli confirmed Victor Osimhen will remain under observation after sustaining a head injury against Atalanta on Sunday.

Osimhen was stretched off and taken to the hospital in an Ambulance after he landed slamming his head on the ground following an aerial duel with Cristian Romero.

The club however disclosed that a test was carried out on the Forward, but they are still waiting for final results and he will remain in the hospital for close observation.

Napoli released a Statement on their website:

Osimhen suffered an injury to his head in the final minutes of Napoli’s match at Atalanta. Following the game, he underwent medical tests but they did not yield a conclusive result.

The player will remain in Bergamo until tomorrow, under the observation of Raffaele Canonico, who leads the medical team at Napoli.
