The management of Abia Warriors have handed the first team’s technical crew led by coach Imama Amapakabo a 3-match ultimatum to save their jobs.

Abia Warriors are winless in four league matches, the Club’s worst ever start to an NPFL season.

Imama Amapakabo’s team are also the first to lose the opening four games of a league season since Delta United in 2003.

The team suffered a humiliating 3 -1 home defeat to Jigawa Golden Stars on Wednesday prompting the Club’s decision to wade into the team’s poor performance.

In a statement released, Thursday, Amapakabo was charged to turn the team’s fortunes around or face the music.

The statement read:

The Management reiterated that the team has no reason not to do well considering the caliber of players in the team pointing out that the technical crew, led by Imama Amapakabo has enjoyed the greatest support and cooperation ever given to any crew in the Club’s history.

Next for the Warriors is a league fixture away to FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
