Onuachu bags another brace for Genk against Cercle Brugge

Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu scored a brace as Genk humiliated Cercle Brugge 5-1 in the Belgium Jupiler league on Saturday.

Onuachu scored the brace in the first half and narrowly missed out on the hat trick before he was replaced in the second half.

The former Midtjylland hitman scored the first goal in the 9th minute, and Junya Ito made it two goals in the 16th minutes for Genk.

Bryan Heynen scored the third for the visitors in the 30th minute, before Onachu scored his second of the game 8 minutes later.

The home side scored a consolation goal through Dino Hotic in the 51st minutes but in form Theo Bongonda restored Genk’s 4 goals lead in the 74th minutes.

Onuachu was replaced by his compatriot Cyriel Desser who came on in the 77th minutes of the encounter.

Paul Onachu is now the leading scorer in the Belgian top-flight league with 12 goals.
