Nigerian winger, Victor Moses is on the verge of sealing a move to Russian championship side, Spartak Moscow and former coach of the side Dmitri Gunko has back him to flourish at the club.

Italian transfer expert Romano Fabrizio revealed that Spartak Moscow has made Moses their prime target and talks are progressing between them and his club Chelsea over the move, reports Brila.net.

Moses spent last the twenty-four months away from Chelsea, with a loan stint to Fenerbahce and Inter Milan of Italy, and manager Frank Lampard has left him out of his plans for the current campaign.

According to Brila.net, Dmitri Gunko has backed his former side to sign the former Nigeria international who he believes will adapt to the Russian championship and give the Spartak coach Domenico Tedesco a huge lift.

” I think he will be able to adapt to the Russian championship,” Gunko told Sport-Express.

“It is clear that this is a high-level footballer with a certain set of qualities, which, it seems to me, there will be judged by the flow of (Spartak coach Domenico) Tedesco’s game.

“If we talk about transfers at all, then there is always some risk. Let’s see how the footballer will show himself, but he has the motivation for this,” he said.
