Super Eagles duo, Troost-Ekong and Kalu will miss the friendly match against Tunisia as they head back to their respective clubs to prepare for this weekend's clashes.

This means coach, Gernot Rohr will have the opportunity to test other young stars wailing to make their Eagles debut.

Troost-Ekong who recently joined Championship side Watford has been one of the players for Gernot Rohr in the Super Eagles considering his performances so far.

The 27-year-old defender played for the Super Eagles at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and also represented Nigeria at the 2019 AFCON winning bronze medal.

William Troost-Ekong and Kalu both played for Super Eagles in their 1-0 loss against African champions Algeria last week Friday, Brila.net said.

Speaking ahead of the coming encounter against Tunisia, Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye told Brila FM that Troost-Ekong and Kalu will miss the duel.

”Kalu was allowed to leave the camp and return to his club because of the knock he got in the game against Algeria.“For Troost-Ekong he was permitted to go because he just joined a new club and they have a game on Friday so they want him to train with his team ahead of the game.

“So with this two players out we will have the chance to see new players for the game.”The last time Nigeria and Tunisia faced was at the 2019 Nations Cup in Egypt and the Super Eagles won the tie which was the third place.

However, Tunisia were in brilliant form in their own last friendly match beating Sudan 3-0 and the Super Eagles must be at the top of their game.
