Immobile beats Messi, Lewandoski, Ronaldo to Golden Shoe award

Lazio striker, Ciro Immobile has won this season's European Golden Shoe award.

The Italian beat Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandoski and Cristiano Ronaldo to win the award for the first time.

Immobile who scored 36 goals was announced winner after Cristiano Ronaldo was rested by manager Maurizio Sarri on Juventus last game in the Italian Serie A.

The striker who was at 35 goals found the back of the net in a 2-1 defeat at Napoli on Saturday to take his number of goals to 36.

In second place is Lewandoski with 34 goals while Ronaldo finished with 31 goals.
