Guardiola reveals winner of Premier League player of the year

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has said that the English Premier League Player of the 2019/2020 season will be won by a Liverpool player.

Guardiola stated this shortly after Liverpool's Jordan Henderson won the Football Writers’ player of the year award.

According to the Spaniard, when City won the league, the player of the year award went to a Liverpool player.

This is why he believes the award will go Liverpool's way especially now that they won the league.

Guardiola told the BBC: “It will be won by a Liverpool player.

“When we won the Premier Leagues it was won by a Liverpool player.

“When they win the Premier League I’m pretty sure they are going to win the player of the season, so this award is always for Liverpool.”
