Bayern Munich star forward, Robert Lewandowski has ignored Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi from his list of top five strikers in the world.

Although bot players are not natural strikers, Lewy who has netted 153 goals in 182 appearances for Bayern so far also omitted himself from the list.

"It's not a simple question," Lewandowski told Bild, who asked him to name the world's top five strikers.

"If we're talking about strikers as pure No.9s, like the classic centre-forward, I'd pick Karim Benzema, Timo Werner, Luis Suarez, [Sergio] Aguero and Kylian Mbappe."

The 31-3=eaqr-old also had advice for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, who scored his 10th goal in nine Bundesliga matches, his 37th in the season.

"He has great potential, but he still has a lot of time to grow," Lewandowski said.

"I don't want to put pressure on him with my comments.

"If he works hard he will become an even better player, and why not become the best striker in the world one day.

"I think it would be good for him to stay in the Bundesliga longer before taking the next step in his career."

Lewandowski currently tops the German league's goalscorers chat with 25 goals so far.
