Chris Wood becomes third NBA player to test positive for coronavirus

Detroit Pistons' Chris Wood, 24, has become the third NBA player to test positive for coronavirus, according to the club's statement.

Earlier in the week, two Utah Jazz players, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell both tested positive for COVID-19.

Players and staff will "self-isolate until further notice," according to Detroit Pistons' statement.

The NBA was suspended on Thursday following Gobert's positive test.

All major sport in the United States, including the Major League Soccer - MLS and Golf's 2020 Master tournament, has now been suspended amid the coronavirus outbreak.

As of today, there have been more than 6,000 deaths with at least, 162,593 cases, and over 76,000 have recovered, according to Worldometer.
