Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo, has not been to Manchester United training complex due to fears of coronavirus.

Ighalo joined United on a deadline day January transfer move from China, although not from the epicentre of the delay coronavirus, Hubei province of Wuhan.

The delay virus has killed over 1,100 people with over 44,000 cases recorded in China and across other world countries.

Ighalo was dropped from the trip to the winter training camp in Spain due to fears that he may find it difficult returning to the UK because of restrictions and United could not risk it.

According to Sky Sports, Ighalo's confinement from the training ground is just precautionary and has always been the plan.

A report in the Daily Mirror on Wednesday evening claimed Ighalo was banned from the club's AON Training Complex in Carrington amid fears over spreading the coronavirus.

Sky Sports reports also claimed that the 30-year-old, who has not tested positive for the virus, has been put on a two-week incubation period ending this weekend as part of the government's precautionary procedures.

The period ends in line with United's return to the UK from their warm-weather training camp in Marbella, which Ighalo had missed over similar concerns.

Ighalo who has been training in Manchester's Taekwondo Centre on the Etihad Campus will be part of United's travelling party when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday.
