The January transfer window is not one known for many major signings, especially for big clubs across the globe, as teams recruit mostly to strengthen squad depth, get a backup for an injured player and so on.

There are some big moves, however, that happen during this period and Inter Milan has been a major beneficiary from the PL after signing Manchester United's captain, Ashley Young, who became the third United player after Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, to join the Italian side in the space of two windows.

Tottenham's Christian Eriksen also joined Antonio Conte's side but the big guns in England have been mostly quiet with only United set to announce the signing of Bruno Fernandez after agreeing a deal with Sporting.
