Nigerian might not be at the World Cup in Qatar but Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo ensured the country has a footprint and presence ahead of the Mundial in November.

True to the popular saying "Naija no dey carry last", the Al Hilal striker made certain the country's name will be mentioned as far as the World cup in Qatar is concerned.

Scoring as his Al Hilal side faced Zamalek in the Lusail Super Cup, he becomes the first player to score at the Lusail Stadium, the venue that will host the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

His beautiful lob in the 18th minute put his side ahead against Zamalek.

Despite equalizing, Al Hilal won 4-1 on penalties to claim the prestigious trophy - a new addition to his trophy cabinet.

Lusail Stadium is Qatar's biggest tournament venue for the FIFA World Cup.

The 80,000-capacity stadium will host the final, along with matches during every stage of the Mundial.
