Brazil head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has made a daring assertion regarding his starting XI ahead of the World Cup.
The Selecao triumphed over the Pharaohs of Egypt in their friendly game with goals from Endrick and Bruno Guimaraes at the FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.
The former Real Madrid manager, currently in his first national team role, will encounter Morocco in Brazil’s first match of the tournament.
Following the friendly against Egypt, Ancelotti stated he has an idea of who will feature in his starting lineup for the clash with Morocco at the summer event.
He remarked, through 101 Great Goals, “Yes, I have the starting XI for Morocco. I have a definite plan. We performed exceptionally well for 60 minutes, applying high pressure and showing strength on both defense and offense.
“We executed well, but we lost focus for a brief five-minute period in the first half, and we paid the price. In a World Cup, there are no second chances to correct those errors.
“However, I’m not concerned; it’s preferable to have these wake-up calls now rather than next Saturday.”
