It appeared the dust had settled on Victor Osimhen's social media rant against Finidi George, but it turns out the incident continues to ruffle a few feathers.

In a latest development, former Nigerian international Taiwo Oloyede has lambasted the Napoli striker for his outburst against the newly appointed Rivers United head coach.

Osimhen took to social media to lash out at the erstwhile Super Eagles head coach for reportedly questioning his commitment to the national team.

The 25-year-old had alleged that Finidi claimed he faked injury to miss the Super Eagles' World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic—a report that turned out to be false and misleading.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with SportsBoom.com, the Nigerian striker, who featured for the Super Eagles from 1994 to 1996, joined the growing list of personalities who have lashed out at the want-away Napoli striker for disrespecting Finidi George.

The former captain of Julius Berger and the Sunshine Stars also called on the Super Eagles striker to apologise to the former Real Betis winger.

“The pressure was too much on Finidi George, which was caused by a lack of loyalty to him. Most of the boys are not loyal to him,” Oloyede stated

“Like Osimhen talking to Finidi George, he must come out and apologize."

“What has he done in his life that makes him better than Finidi? Is it money? Fame? Has he won the Champions League? Has he won the Nations Cup? Being the highest goal scorer in the qualifiers is not an achievement if it’s not repeated in the tournament proper.”

“Just because he was the highest goal scorer at his club when they won the Scudetto last season doesn’t give him the right to talk to Finidi like that. He’s very rude and going public to rant that ‘Ogun’ will kill somebody shows he was not brought up well. He also lacks good advisers to put him on track.”
