Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) has congratulated Nigeria's Guinness World Record Holders, Chinonso Eche and Victor Kipo.

Both footballer freestylers have 13 Guinness World Records between them.

Victor Richard Kipo who is also a young football freestyler and an indigene of Akwa Ibom State is an eight-time Guinness Book Record holder. On the other hand, Chinonso Miracle Eche, an indigene of Anambra State, is a five-time Guinness Book Record holder.

With popular chef, Hilda Baci setting a new 100-hour non-stop cooking record, breaking India’s Lata Tandon’s previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes, Nigerians who have broken any type of record have began enjoying media publicity.

Peter Obi in a tweet on Tuesday, May 30 said: "I rejoice with and congratulate the duo of @ChinonsoEche and @VictorKipo who are celebrated as five-time and eight-time Guinness World Records holders respectively."

"The youngsters have used their skills in freestyle football to write their names on the global map, and thus brought great honor to the nation."

"Their story should not only inspire Nigerian youths and prod them to pursue their productive dreams with total commitment but should also encourage the leaders to build a secure, conducive and enabling environment that will aid the nation to discover and harness more creative talents in arts and sports thus enhancing diametric development and progress. -PO"

According to the Guinness World Records official website, Eche holds the record for most consecutive football (soccer) touches in one minute while balancing a football on the head with 111 touches.

Victor Kipo according to the same portal holds the record for most football (soccer) passes between the head and soles in one minute (35).

He achieved this on August 20, 2022.
