West Ham step up chase for Moffi

West Ham United have shown keen interest in signing Lorient striker Terem Moffi from the French Ligue 1, as per reports.

Frank Taylor, a journalist with the Daily Express reports that the Premier League side have begun negotiations with the French club in their bid to lure the Super Eagles striker to the EPL.

The only stumbling block according to Taylor is FC Lorient's asking price and what the London club is ready to table.

“In terms of West Ham’s interest in Moffi, I believe they’ve held negotiations to sign the player,” Taylor said.

“But at the same time there is a differentiation of price Lorient are looking for and West Ham are prepared to pay.

“Lorient are really willing to do business. They are looking at £20-25m for the striker. Premier League clubs are willing to pay around £15m.”

West Ham manager, David Moyes is looking to boost his attacking options, and he believes the Nigerian international will be a great addition to his side.

Moffi, 24, is tied with Neymar on 11 Ligue 1 goals this season, only Kylian Mbappe has scored more (13).
