Head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 women's team, Chris Musa is thrilled by his team's performance in their final group encounter against Canada at the ongoing U-20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Falconets came back from a goal down to defeat their Canadian counterparts by 3-1 in the early hours of Thursday, August 18.

Speaking to the media after the game, Falconets coach Musa expressed his delight after his side fought back from a goal down to clinch all three points.

“It was great for us to come back from that setback, and also conceding first in the tournament. We showed character and spirit, and that would be huge for us going forward in the competition,” Musa said in a post-match interview.

The Falconets have so far scored 5 goals and conceded 1 in three matches.

Africa's best team at the tournament will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals on Monday, August 22.
