Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has disclosed that the team is yet to receive the $100,000 cash gift promised to them by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

President Tinubu announced the cash reward during a reception to welcome the team following their triumph at the 2024 African Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Coach Justine Madugu's side staged a remarkable comeback to beat hosts Morocco 3–2 in the grand finale after conceding two goals in the first half.

The incredible victory marked the Super Falcons’ tenth continental title.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the Atlético Madrid forward stated that the Super Falcons have not received the cash reward the president promised to the team.

“We have not received our money, but hopefully, it would be paid,” Ajibade said.

“They have not paid. All the promises—we have not received anything.”
