We have missed Osimhen - Gattuso

Gennaro Gattuso has admitted that Victor Osimhen has been sorely missed after missing the club’s last two games since he suffered a dislocated shoulder on international duty.

The 21-year-old dislocated his shoulder during Nigeria’s 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone during a 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.

“We have missed Osimhen in recent weeks, remember, he is an important player,” Gattuso told Sky Sports.

The Nigerian left Ligue 1 where he shot himself into the limelight by posting impressive performances for the French side Lille.

The former Sporting Charleroi player has scored two goals for the Gattuso-led side and he has played a total six matches.
