Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has named his favourite and worst teammates during his time at Old Trafford.

Rooney had the rare privilege of playing alongside some of the best footballers in the world during his 13-year stint with the Red Devils.

According to Sportbible, the former England international joined the Manchester-based club in 2004 from Everton.

He certainly made his mark at the Theatre of Dreams, forming a crucial part of Sir Alex Ferguson's successful reign at the time.

The Man United's all-time top scorer played alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, and Rio Ferdinand.

Speaking on the Seven Rob Burrow Podcast, the legendary striker spoke about his favourite and worst teammates during his illustrious career at Old Trafford.

According to the Birmingham City boss, Darren Fletcher was his favourite teammate, while Nani was his worst.

"There were a few - John O'Shea, Wes Brown, Michael Carrick - we were all really close. But [Fletcher] was probably the one. We sat next to each other in the dressing room and shared really good moments on and off the pitch together.

"My worst teammate - there are a lot more than you'd probably think! On the pitch, the toughest one was Nani. He was frustrating to play with," Rooney added.
