Victor Osimhen was visibly surprised after learning of his latest record following Galatasaray’s victory over Bodø/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League.

The 26-year-old delivered another stellar performance to guide the Turkish giants to a 3–1 win against the Norwegian side on Wednesday night.

The victory secured Galatasaray’s first back-to-back wins in the Champions League since 2012.

Osimhen scored an early opener in the third minute before adding a second 30 minutes later to give his side a two-goal cushion.

Yunus Akgün added the third goal on the hour mark before Andreas Helmersen netted a consolation for the visitors with a quarter of an hour left to play.

Osimhen made history by becoming the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive European matches.

The former Napoli striker surpassed the previous record held by Burak Yılmaz from 2012.

Osimhen expressed his surprise after being informed of his latest record by a journalist in the mixed zone after the game.

The HT Spor journalist told him:

“You broke the record by passing Burak Yılmaz.”

In response, Osimhen said:

“Really? Burak Yılmaz is a great legend.”
