Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie marked her return to club football in grand style following her remarkable triumph with Nigeria at the 2024 African Women's Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The 28-year-old scored a superb stoppage-time winner as her Houston Dash side secured a 2–1 victory over NY Gotham FC in the National Women's Soccer League.
Alozie came off the bench in the second half and fired home a superb shot after just nine minutes of coming on.

The US-born Nigerian international played a crucial role in the Super Falcons’ remarkable triumph at the recently concluded WAFCON.
The versatile defender featured in all six matches at the tournament as Justine Madugu's side went all the way to clinch their 10th continental title.
Alozie was honoured with a heroic welcome on her return to Houston Dash after the WAFCON success with Nigeria.
