Sunday Mba's famous strike won Nigeria its third Nations Cup title against Burkina Faso at the Soccer City in South Africa ten years ago.

The then locally based star scored the only goal as Stephen Keshi's side beat their West African neighbours by a lone goal at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Mba's famous strike ended Nigeria's 19-year wait for a Nations Cup trophy having won it in 1980 and 1994.

Mba, now 34 was very instrumental in the Super Eagles' triumph at the 2013 Nations Cup.

The attacking midfielder also scored the winning goal in Nigeria's 2–1 quarter-final win over Ivory Coast.

Relishing the moment, Mba said: “The feeling can’t leave me; anytime I remember it still flashes through my mind.

“It’s a feeling I will never forget in my life.”
