WATCH: How Taiwo Awoniyi celebrated Forest's late equalizer against Manchester City

The City Ground erupted following Chris Wood's 84th-minute equalizer which salvaged a precious point for the Reds against the Premier League champions on Saturday, February 18.

The home fans found their voices after a beautiful string of passing saw at least a touch from every outfield Forest player before the ball ended up in the back of the net.

Among the cheering fans at the City Ground was the injured Taiwo Awoniyi who was watching the game from the touchline.

The 25-year-old couldn't hide his excitement after Chris Wood's strike cancelled out Bernardo Silva's 41st-minute strike to rescue a point for Steve Cooper's side.

Awoniyi has been on the sidelines since scoring the only goal in Forest's 1-0 victory away at St Mary's against Southampton on January 4.

The former Union Berlin man suffered a groin injury and his return date remains unknown according to his manager Steve Cooper.

The Welshman however believes the Super Eagles striker will return to the team soon.
