Halimat Ayinde has declared the Super Falcons are determined to reclaim the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, title.
The Super Falcons relinquished their crown three years ago in Morocco following a 5-4 penalty shootout loss to the Atlas Lionesses in the semi-finals.
South Africa emerged champions in that edition of the competition, edging past Morocco 2-1 in the final.
Nigeria and Morocco will clash in the final of WAFCON 2024 at the Olympic Stadium, Rabat on Saturday (today).
Ayinde, who plays in Sweden for Rosenberg stated that the Falcons are desperate to rule the continent again.
“This final is not going to be different. We are going to stick together as a team and fight for each other,” the 31-year-old told CAFonline.
