Video of dilapidated hotel Super Eagles lodged in Egypt unrealistic - Charles Anazodo

Journalist Charles Anazodo has stated that the video shared by midfielder Alex Iwobi, depicting the camp hotel where Super Eagles players were lodged, is untrue.

Iwobi had shared the video on social media of the hotel in Egypt, attracting negative reactions from Nigerians who felt the hotel looked dilapidated.

However, Anazodo, in a post on X, said the video is unrealistic, adding that the spokesperson for the team has debunked it.

He wrote, "Why do we like to believe the worst about anything that concerns Nigeria? Somebody posted an unrealistic video of where the @NGSuperEagles are camped in Morocco and social media runs with the very untrue story replete with condemnation. Na wa o. Thankfully the media officer has corrected the very dirty impression."

Meanwhile, Iwobi has cleared the air on the video he shared on social media, stressing that he never shared it for negativity.

“Are you seeing life? It’s all about perspective, because I snapped at the view I have and people are thinking these guys are ungrateful,” the former Arsenal and Everton player said in a social media post.

“Brother, I never said one thing. I just did one look like this, never said a word. Because, you see, in life, some people don’t even have yards; some of them don’t have beds.”
