Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze make Super Eagles full house

The arrival of Super Eagles players, Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze at Nigeria's training camp in Lagos confirms the arrival of all invited for the AFCON tie against Benin and Lesotho.

The arrival of Victor Osimhen was in serious doubt after a serious injury he suffered on Super Eagles duty in November kept him out of club duties for 93 days. His club side then blamed the Eagles doctors for worsening the injury.

The arrival of the duo means there are now 22 players in the training camp.

Chukwueze was also another huge doubt for the AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho after Spanish clubs refused both Kenneth Omeruo and Sadiq Umar to join the Eagles on account of the travelrestrictions caused by the Covid Pandemic, Today.ng said.

The Eagles will train in Lagos till Thursday, when they will depart for Benin Republic.

They battle Benin on Saturday before they tackle Lesotho on Tuesday in Lagos.

A draw from these matches will qualify Nigeria to the AFCON to be staged by Cameroon in January 2022.
