Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has hailed his Super Eagles compatriot Victor Osimhen for his exceptional campaign with Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.

Osimhen led Galatasaray to their 25th league title with a commanding 3-0 victory over Kayserispor at Rams Park on Sunday, May 18.

The 26-year-old opened the scoring in the 26th minute before Barış Yılmaz and Fernando Muslera added the other two goals, sealing a title-clinching win for the Yellow and Reds.

Galatasaray had already secured their first silverware of the season after defeating Trabzonspor 3-0 in the Turkish Cup final on Wednesday, May 14, courtesy of a brace from Osimhen.

Boniface, a close friend of Osimhen and an active social media user, was among the first players to congratulate the Galatasaray striker.

In a short post on X, the 24-year-old wrote: "The best ever."

Osimhen has been in outstanding form since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last September.

The former Lille striker has recorded 36 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions under Okan Buruk's management.
