Nigeria's Tobi Amusan has qualified for the final of the women’s 100 metres hurdles at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
The 28-year-old clocked an impressive time of 12.36 seconds to secure her place in the final.
The former world champion finished first in her semi-final heat, ahead of the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser, who came second in 12.45 seconds, and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who placed third with 12.51 seconds.
Amusan remains the current world record holder in the event, having set a remarkable time of 12.12 seconds at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
