Odion Ighalo's strike against Austrian side, LASK has been voted by UEFA technical observers as one of the best strikes in the Europa League.

The Manchester United striker scored the goal in his side's 5-0 victory over LASK in the Round of 16 tie at the Linzer Stadium in March.

The Nigerian forward controlled a pass from Bruno Fernandes and juggled the both with both feet, before unleashing a powerful left-foot drive in the top corner, said Brila.net.

The goal was eventually voted third behind Ruben Neves’ goal for Wolves against Espanyol and Claudiu Keseru’s left-footed volley for Ludogorets against CSKA Moscow.

Ighalo, however, scored two goals for Manchester United in the competition, but they missed out of a place into final to eventual champions Sevilla.

Ighalo has enjoyed a fine season since his loan move from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of the Chinese Super League.

The Nigerian striker revealed the circumstances the led him to join United.

According to him, United were desperate for a striker following the injury to Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial's deep loss of form. Ighalo was the club's last option after a sluggish January transfer.

While speaking during his first United interview, the 30-year-old revealed how he and his agent were up all night to ensure the deal didn't fall through.

According to reports, Ighalo agreed to a pay cut of £165,000 a week. He was reportedly receiving £300k in Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, China.

"A few other clubs had shown interest, I said: 'Please, just pick United, if it's going to be possible,'" he said.

He said, "At 11pm in Shanghai, my agent called me [to say] that United want to do the deal, so I woke up that night and started looking for a translator to go to the directors' room and hit his door.
