Popular on-air-personality and Arise Television co-host, Rufai Oseni has proferred a solution to Nigeria's lingering goalkeeping challenges.

This follows a string of poor performances from Francis Uzoho who was between the sticks for the team against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

Reacting to the performance of the goalie, Mr Oseni in his submission on the Morning Show on Tuesday, October 17 called on the Technical handlers to look to the local league.

He cited an example of Vincent Enyeama who was unearthed by former Super Eagles coach, Chief Festus Onigbinde ahead of the Korea and Japan World Cup.

"It goes back to looking inward, Aaron. We don't look inward enough, we like to go for all the fluff. No! See, the Nigerian team was battered you remember our episode in 2002, we had a World Cup to go to. We brought in Chief Onigbinde and he looked inwards," he said.

"I remember the game when he introduced Enyeama in the World Cup for a long time. A lot of people said, oh but he took some risk and it paid out."

"That year he brought it Enyeama, he brought it Femi Opabunmi and other glory stars that formed a bulk of what the new Super Eagles were. Enyeama was in Enyimba then when he kept a World Cup game for Nigeria and you can see the ascendancy and sustainability over the years."
