Usyk slams Joshua, brands him as 'a poor fool'

Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has slammed Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Joshua for his post-fight antics following his defeat in last month's bout.

Two-time heavyweight champion, Joshua, failed in his bid to reclaim his lost titles from the Ukrainian after he lost the rematch via split decision at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia on August 20.

Disappointed Joshua snatched Usyk's titles and threw them out of the ring after Usyk was declared the winner. He also engaged some of Usyk's team members in a brawl.

Joshua also stormed out of the ring and headed toward the dressing room. He later returned to congratulate the 35-year-old boxer in a gracious speech.

Sharing his thought on his recent bout with AJ via his YouTube channel USYK17, the pound-for-pound boxer branded AJ as a 'poor fool' who reminds him of a little boy.

“You know, I thought, ‘What a poor fool’,” he said.

“I thought, ‘Why should you be doing that?’ He reminded me of a little boy who wanted to play with the ball, but it was taken away from him.

“So, he decided to throw it over the neighbour’s fence. But the ball landed next to a fierce dog, so was it such a smart decision in the end?”

Anthony Joshua is set to take on Tyson Fury in what will be an all-British mouth-watering bout billed for December 3 in Cardiff.
