Ahmed Musa is set to make a sensational return to the national team for the upcoming Unity Cup exhibition tournament, which will take place later this month.

PUNCH Sports Extra reports that the veteran striker is expected to lead the Super Eagles during the four-nation tourney from May 26 to 31.

This was disclosed in a post on X by Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars.

“Captain Ahmed Musa is set to lead the Super Eagles at the Unity Cup Four-Nation Tourney from May 26–31, 2025, at Brentford Stadium, London,” the club announced.

“Musa has been in top form for Sai Masu Gida, with eight goals and two assists in the ongoing 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season.”

Ahmed Musa's last appearance for the Super Eagles came in January 2024, in a pre-AFCON friendly against Guinea.

The 32-year-old was named in the final squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire but didn’t feature in a single game.

Musa has been in impressive form for Kano Pillars this season, registering eight goals and two assists.
