United to extend Matic's stay at Old Trafford

Manchester United is set to extend Nemanja Matic's contract after reports from SkySports suggest that the Reds have triggered an extension.

The club has activated the one-year option in Matic's contract and are in discussions about a new deal.

The Serbian had entered the last four months of his contract but United have tied him to the club until 2021, according to Sky Sports.

Matic joined United from Chelsea for £31m in July 2017, after agreeing to team up with Jose Mourinho for a second time.
