UCL: Sadiq gears up for debut against Inter Milan

Umar Sadiq will look to make his UEFA Champions League debut for Spanish club Real Sociedad against Inter Milan on Wednesday (today).

The Group C encounter will be played at the Reale Arena.

Sadiq is gradually stepping up his fitness after missing the entire 2022/23 season with injury.

The 26-year-old has featured in all of Real Sociedad’s five league games this season.

Having been included in the White and Blues squad for tonight’s encounter, the Nigeria international will hope to get the chance to feature against last season’s finalists.

Real Sociedad are back in the UEFA Champions League having last featured in the competition 10 years ago.

The modest side finished in fourth position in the Spanish top-flight last season.

Another Nigerian, Victor Osimhen is expected to be in action when Napoli take on Braga in Portugal.
