UCL: Rosenior breaks silence after Chelsea suffer 8-2 aggregate loss to PSG

Chelsea manager, Liam Rosenior, has admitted that his team’s mistakes cost them against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Blues were beaten 5-2 in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Parc des Princes.

PSG, who are the current holders, ran riot at Stamford Bridge, winning 3-0, thanks to goals from Khvicha Kvaratskheli, Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu.

“A tough night. We knew it was a tough ask and to start the game in the manner that we did,” Rosenior told TNT Sports.

“We had the ball in the final third. you cna’t make mistakes at this level. We had the ball in their box and Barcola hit one from 25 yards into the top corner. Their belief grows.

“They were clinical. The third goal, ball breaks and he hits in the top corner. I haven’t looked at the stats yet, but we had a lot of shots. They didn’t make mistakes. I want to thank the fans because they saw how hard the lads worked.”
