Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen set another record for Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League despite the club’s 3-2 away loss to Juventus on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old scored Galatasaray’s first goal in extra time to tilt the tie in favour of the Turkish giants before Baris Yilmaz struck late in extra time to seal the victory for the Yellow and Reds.

Okan Buruk’s side progressed to the round of 16 with a 7-5 aggregate win over the Bianconeri.

Osimhen made history by becoming the club’s highest-scoring foreign player in European competitions.

The Nigerian international’s crucial goal on the stroke of half-time in extra time was his 13th for the club in European competitions.

The former Napoli striker surpassed the previous record held by Milan Baros.

Osimhen has now netted seven goals and provided two assists in the UCL this season.
