Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has disclosed the tactics he deployed to defeat Barcelona in their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

In a chat with the press after the comprehensive victory, he disclosed that starving Barcelona possession of the ball ultimately did the trick.

Goals from Willian Estevao and Liam Delap and an own goal from Jules Kounde ensured Chelsea beat Barcelona 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

The victory comes after Chelsea's disappointing draw against Qarabag.

“Barcelona are a team that feel comfortable when they have the ball,” Maresca said.

“If they don’t have the ball, they don’t feel comfortable so we tried to keep the ball.

“Even 11v11, my feeling was very good because the team was playing well.”
