Flamingos got their FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup campaign back on track with a vital victory over New Zealand on Friday.

Bankole Olowookere’s side put the opening day defeat to Germany behind them as they spanked the New Zealanders 4-0.

The Flamingos drew the first blood inside the opening 16 minutes through Aminat Bello.

Miracle Usani doubled the lead for the Nigerian ladies in the 34th minute and her second of the tournament.

The team dominated the first half and went into the break with a comfortable two-goal lead.

Taiwo Tewogbola then added the third on the 75th minute, before substitute Edidiong Etim completed the rout in stoppage time.

The Flamingos now have three points and will meet Chile in their last Group game.
