Egypt’s U-20 coach, Mamoud Gaber, has hinted that the Young Pharaohs will adopt a different tactical approach when they take on the Flying Eagles on Wednesday (today) at the Cairo International Stadium, The PUNCH reports.

The Young Pharaohs who were held to a goalless draw in their opening fixture against Mozambique are aiming to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals later this year in Indonesia and also clinch their fifth U-20 title on home soil.

Currently second in Group B with a point, Gaber revealed that his team is tactically ready to curtail the Nigerian side desperate of a win.

“We were slow against Mozambique so it is possible to change the way we play against Nigeria because they play differently,” Gaber told a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

“The match (against Nigeria) will be more open and we have prepared all the players after our game against Mozambique.

“We are not afraid of facing any team and we were not calm when we had our chances against Mozambique.

“We didn’t focus with our chances and that’s one of the reasons why we failed to win.

Meanwhile, Egyptian defender, Omar Fayed, admits playing against the Flying Eagles will be a tough encounter but he is confident of a positive result.

“We know the importance of the game against Nigeria and we know its is going to be difficult but we hope to achieve a positive result,” Fayed said.
