Two-goal hero Alozie named POTM in Houston Dash’s away win

Super Falcons star Michelle Alozie was named Player of the Match in Houston Dash’s 2-0 win at Gotham FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) on Sunday.

Houston Dash announced Alozie as the best player on their X handle after the win against Gotham FC.

Alozie marked her return to action from suspension with a brace for Houston Dash.

The 26-year-old was shown a straight red card in Houston Dash’s 1-0 loss to San Diego Wave on September 4.

But it was a memorable return for the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup star as her brace earned her side the three points.

Alozie has now taken her tally for the season to four goals in 15 league appearances.

Houston Dash climb up to seventh position on 26 points after 20 games in the 12-team league table.
