Super Eagles stand-in captain, William Troost-Ekong has been ruled out of Nigeria clash against Sao Tome and Principe.
The Hornets centre back suffered a muscle injury against Sierra Leone during the Super Eagles' opening AFCON qualifier game at MKO Stadium on Thursday, June 9.
He was subbed off for Leganés defender, Kenneth Omeruo in the 82nd minute.
Another Super Eagles star who has been sidelined for the clash is Innocent Bonke.

The Lorient Midfielder suffered an injury during the Super Eagles friendly against Mexico in the United States.
The duo couldn't recover in time to make the trip to Morocco to face Sao Tome and Principe.
Nigeria will take on Sao Tome and Principe today (Monday, June 13) in their second qualifier game at the Stade Adrar stadium in Morocco.
