Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq is reportedly in talks with Deportivo Alavés over a potential move this summer, amid reports of a possible return to former club UD Almería.

Reports from Onda Vasca indicate that the Super Eagles striker is in discussions with Alavés over a possible transfer this summer.

Technical director of Alavés, Sergio Fernández, has made signing a new striker a priority following the departure of Joaquín Panichelli to Strasbourg.

Sadiq spent the second half of last season on loan at Valencia, where he impressed by scoring five goals in 15 appearances.

The 28-year-old returned to Real Sociedad for preseason last week after Valencia declined to make his loan deal permanent.

Meanwhile, Sadiq's former club Almería have also entered the race for his signature.

The Nigerian forward played a crucial role in the club's promotion to La Liga in 2022.

Currently competing in the Segunda División, the Andalusian club see him as the ideal striker to lead their bid for a return to the top flight.
