A permanent exit from Southampton could be on the cards for Paul Onuachu following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

According to reports, the Nigerian international is close to joining Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 30-year-old striker was on loan at Trabzonspor during the 2023/2024 season, where he had a decent stint, scoring 17 goals in 25 appearances.

Despite Onuachu's impressive loan stint, the club couldn't meet Southampton's valuation to sign him on a permanent deal.

The Saints demanded €15 million to sanction the transfer of the lanky striker.

However, Onuachu could now join the Black Sea Storm for just €5 million following the Saints relegation to the Sky Bet Championship.

Reports indicate that talks between Southampton and Trabzonspor have reached advanced stage.
