English Premier League side Fulham have officially announced the signing of Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey from Ajax.
The 23-year-old signed a four-year deal with the club with an undisclosed amount of fee.
The ex-Glasgow Rangers man has been handed the number 3 shirt by his new club.
Speaking in an interview with the club's website, Bassey expressed his excitement on joining the London-based club and and playing in the Premier League.
“I know how big of a club Fulham is. They always have quality players; they’re playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I didn’t have to think much about it,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’s a London club as well, so it’s always a plus to go home! I’m happy it’s all done now, and I can just focus on the football and help the team build on last season when they did amazing.”
