Despite securing the signature of some high-profile signings like Victor Osimhen and Leroy Sané, Galatasaray has shown no sign of slowing down in the transfer market.
According to emerging reports, Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji is set to join the Turkish champions in the coming days.
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Galatasaray have approached Manchester City for the signature of the Swiss international of Nigerian descent.
The Turkish champions are reportedly in talks with Akanji's agent in their bid to sort out the player's personal terms.
Akanji is set to make the final decision on his future at Manchester City in the coming days.
The Swiss international was an unused substitute during Manchester City's 4–0 thrashing of Wolves in their Premier League opener on Saturday, August 16.
The 30-year-old was born to a Nigerian father and Swiss mother in Wiesendangen, Switzerland.
